Snow Cones

Today the boys and I went on a special date to our local snow cone stand. It was Blake's first snow cone... he loved it!!

Friday Morning

Today we went to see Grandpa. He is now back at his "special house", as Blake calls it. He looked so much better than Wednesday when Samantha and I went to visit him at the hospital. As we were leaving, he had to go to therapy. Blake and Cade liked watching him do his exercises through the big windows. After we left rehab, we headed over to Paw Paw and Ma Maw's house for a quick visit. I was a bad blogger though and forgot the camera in the car... so we don't have a picture to capture that part of our morning.

Caterpillar Babies

We awoke this morning to little caterpillar babies. Blake has been checking the eggs often, and was so excited to see they had hatched!

Tyler Zoo

We spent the day at the beautiful Tyler Zoo. The weather was perfect! Blake asked if there was going to be an Ark at the zoo for the animals. Can you tell what his favorite Bible story is?? Even though there wasn't an Ark, he still had a great time and loved seeing all the animals. Barrett was very relaxed in the great outdoors, and didn't see anything on his first zoo trip...

Our Day

We started our day off Friday with a visit to Grandpa. When we got there he was in the therapy room doing his exercises, so Blake got to watch Grandpa through the big glass window. When he finished we got to visit with him. Of course Blake had a lot to tell him and ask him.

Next we headed to Aunt Yay Yay's office for a quick visit. Blake loves to add a little excitment to their day with his visits. As you can imagine, he always has a lot to ask and say there too.

We finished our outings with a trip to the library. There are so many fun things to do and see at the library. Barrett was happy with just riding in the stroller on this trip. Leaving with a bag full of new books to read is the best part!

Jaden McBride Update

These are our newest pictures, taken on April 14th. They took the shunt (from my understanding this is the tube that drains the fluid from the brain) out on the 15th. Our prayer today is that the shunt will be able to stay out.

Our Trip to the Park

Today the boys and I took a trip to the park in Greenville. Barrett snoozed in the front-pack carrier, while Blake ran and played. This park is one of Blake's favorite places to play.

Fun Times!

Blake had another fun time with his friend Chaney! The weather was beautiful, so they got to play outside. They had a good time singing and dancing with the Star Station when it got too cool to play outside. Blake also had his first piece of gum! He was very excited about it!

The Case of the Missing Binky

As we were getting Blake ready for bed the other night, we realized his binky (blanket) was nowhere to be found. After an extensive search of the house, he had to go to sleep without his binky. The next morning Blake and I searched the house again. Under couch cushions, in drawers, mattresses, sheets, hampers, toy boxes etc... We could not find it anywhere! As he was laying in his bed trying to take a nap, I was in the laundry room folding laundry. I looked down and noticed a box sitting on the floor. I wondered... sure enough, there was his binky inside the box! According to Blake, he and his binky were going to try to hide in the box and realized he was too big to fit, but forgot to get his binky out...

All is well in the McIntire household again... now that binky has been found!
