Halloween morning started with a trip to church for our family. It wasn't just an ordinary trip though... this Sunday Daddy got to go to church with us... what a treat! Since he had worked eight days in a row (working and attending a training class combined), he was given the weekend off to make up for it. We are always so excited when we get the chance to attend church together!
After church we headed to our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch. We had tried to go earlier in the month, but Blake got sick on the way and we had to turn around and come back home. We weren't sure how crowded it would be since it was the last day it was opened and it was Halloween. Boy were we excited when we pulled up and found that it was not crowded at all!
Blake wanted to start with the hay maze. Always a favorite! He loves trying to figure things out.
Barrett didn't want to give up his seat in the trailer of the wagon.
We then headed over to ride the little train thing.
The boys wanted to ride by themselves... so off they went!
This was the first year Robert or I haven't ridden the train with them... it was kind of a weird feeling to have two big boys this year!
Face painting was next.
Blake chose a spider web and Barrett chose a kitty.
They played on all the wooden tractors, trains, and characters for a while.
We tried to get another family picture with Barrett looking up... it turned out a little better than the first one.
A fun hayride was next. You can see that Barrett is way more interested in watching the tractor that is pulling us than looking for a picture.
The hay pile is one of Blake's favorite spots.
There is no fear in this child as he leaps from the top of the pile, landing with a thump and roll in the hay below.
Barrett approached it with a little more fear. He was happy with just sliding off into Daddy's arms.
My two big boys... growing up so fast!
We walked around and looked at all the different shapes and sizes of the pumpkins before we left.
