State Gymnastics Meet

It's an exciting time in high school gymnastics!  It's time for state!

Our school district normally pays for the whole varsity team to travel to state, but this year they only paid for the boys who were on the roster to compete (top 6 on the team).  Barrett wanted to be there with his teammates and experience the state championship, so he and I drove to College Station together to be at the meet.

We stopped for snacks and coffee halfway and enjoyed a nice drive with good music and good snacks.

It was a nail biter as we went into the second day of competition, but our men's team was able to pull out a win!  3rd time State Champions!  It was so much fun watching this team fight their way to the end and then celebrate the win!

I'm so glad we were able to experience this moment in our high school's history!

6th Grade Electives

Kaleb will be starting 6th grade next school year, which means getting to choose his fine art elective.  He chose band so we went for instrument "tryouts".  This means that the band directors watch you play the instrument, especially noticing your mouth placement.  They pick the top instruments that you have a natural ability of being able to learn and play.

Kaleb was chosen to play the clarinet!

He is excited about the new adventures ahead in band!

Eggciting!

It's the most Eggciting time of the year in first grade!

We received our beautiful fertilized eggs today, ready to start the 21 day countdown to hatch day!

Stillwater RV Resort

We tried out a newly built campground resort in Winona, TX.

Overall, we were disappointed in the campground.  The clubhouse was nice, so we spent time in here playing.  

It was nice to getaway and we made the most of it, but unfortunately we were disappointed with this one.
