Silver Cliff

Blake went to Colorado for his first youth camp.
They left on chartered buses from the church at 6:30 am, driving all the way to CO in one day.
This was Blake's first trip to Colorado.
The views were amazing!
They had Decade Night. Blake and his group were rocking the 80's!
Lots of adventures with swimming, zip lining, rock climbing, and ropes courses.
A view from Blake's front porch.
We all missed him so much during his 5 days away. The buses pulled back into the church around 11 p.m.  Barrett had a note waiting on his pillow for him.
They went to several worship times each day. Going All In With God was their theme.
And because Blake is a teenage boy, I don't have a lot of pictures or details from the week.
But, he had a blast and he grew in his faith and relationships.  He can't wait to go back next year!

The Babies

We've gotten to spend a lot of time with our babies since my sister's surgery and post-surgery care.
My kids are such big helpers and I have taken one with me each time to help entertain the littles!
We've enjoyed getting to spend extra time with them!

Thousand Trails- Lake Tawakoni

We had reservations at Thousand Trails for the weekend.  Since my sister had surgery, Brynn and I stayed home to help take care of her babies.  Robert and the boys went ahead and headed out to camp since it was close to home.
Later in the weekend, Brynn and I drove out to spend a night at camp while my mom and Josh were home taking care of Shannon and the babies.
This boy loves camping so much.  There is nothing as good as propping your feet up while sipping RC Cola at your campsite.
The two big boys and I went for a bike ride on the trails.
We love the view at the end of the trail!
After taking in the beauty of God's creation, we set out on a different trail.  We got to watch an armadillo looking for dinner.
Another beautiful view at the end of our tail.
The rest of the gang was cruising on the golf cart and found us at the dock, so they joined us.
Even though this weekend at #campmcintire was different than our normal camping weekend, it still worked out wonderfully!
Until next time...

Thankful

On May 31st, my sister was diagnosed with melanoma.  Our world was rocked, but we put one foot in front of the other to get through the hard days and unknowns.  We knew God would sustain us, no matter what.
Her surgery was scheduled for June 16th, where they removed a very large area of her shoulder, along with three lymph nodes.
Mom, Brynn, and I babysat all of her babies, while the rest of our family sat at the hospital with her during surgery.
After a long and nerve-wracking surgery, everyone was physically and emotionally exhausted.
The doctor left us with hopeful news after the surgery.  And he was right, all of her lymph nodes came back clear and negative of the cancer spreading into her body.
We are beyond thankful for the good news!!
