Zoo Days

This boy has gotten to visit the zoo with his aunts, uncles, and Gram a couple of times this spring.  He loves it and calls it the "awesome zoo".  So thankful he gets to go on fun outings while we are at school!

May

We've had a record 31 inches of rain this year, which means we've mostly had cloudy, rainy, and stormy weather the past month.  During the short moments of sun, we've hurried out to play.
But it wasn't long before the storm clouds always came blowing back through.
We finally got to go outside for recess one day, and wear sunglasses!
Barrett's art work was chosen to be displayed at the district's Memorial Day Concert.
We had an hour of sun, so we rushed to the sprinkler park to play before the next storm came through.

4th Grade Wax Museum

Each year the 4th graders choose a famous Texan to research.  They write a biography, a speech, and prepare a board with information.  They work on these tasks for about 2 weeks.  On the day of the Wax Museum, they dress up like their famous Texan.  The other students in the school get to attend the Wax Museum. The students go around to each famous Texan and push their button.  The famous Texan then recites the speech they wrote and memorized.
Blake chose to research Davy Crockett.
He had fun learning more about Davy and telling the other students who came to the Wax Museum, of which were his brother, sister, and mother!
It was fun to watch him in action and hear how well he did reciting his speech.

Mother's Day Breakfast

Brynn's kindergarten class hosted a Mother's Day breakfast.
They made us some special gifts, we ate breakfast, and enjoyed a performance.
It was a special morning for my girl and I.
