Made With Love

Look at this adorable shirt Duby made for Blake. It was sewn specially for Blake with lots of love!
Does she know this boy or what!? Our little boy can play in the dirt for hours!!
Blake loves his new shirt and was excited to wear it to the library tonight.
Little Boys are...
Little trucks and mounds of dirt, Band-aids on those things that hurt...
Climbing trees and running for miles, and little boys’ big smiles.

Sunny Soccer Saturday

You would have never thought it was fall on Saturday at Cade's soccer game. The sun was shining bright and making the morning very warm. We had a wonderful time cheering for our guy in spite of the heat!
Blake sat on the bleachers and watched the game so intently... he didn't move or make a sound!
(Sorry I cut your head off Auntie)
Barrett got lots of attention from his fan club... even a special visit from Daddy.

Go Cade Go!

Children's Choir

Here is a sample of what Blake has learned in choir. He loves going each Wednesday night. They play instruments and learn new songs. This seems to be one of his favorites because he sings it all the time.

I will sing praises to Thy name.

A Time To Build

The newest addition to our backyard is a storage shed. Our garage has been packed as full as it needs to be. It is time to move the lawnmower, wheelbarrow, and other misc things out to the shed. Robert bought Blake a paint roller just his size. This past weekend they painted the floor together while Barrett and I watched from afar. Blake thought he was big stuff outside painting with Daddy!

Story Time

Tonight was story time at the library. We got there a little early to check out some new books. Blake likes to preview them and give me the ok before checking them out.
Blake listened as the librarian read two books about sunflowers.
Then he got to paint his very own sunflower.
The finished product
With a bag full of books we were ready to head back home.

A Camping We Will Go

Our long awaited camping trip had finally arrived! We loaded up the truck and headed to Cooper Lake State Park.
This is our one room home away from home... complete with bunk beds!

We enjoyed our bike rides! Blake smiled and giggled the whole time. He thought it was so fun that Barrett was big enough to ride with him.

When the sun set, we made a beautiful campfire.
We popped popcorn over our campfire... yummy!

Blake did some night bike riding
Robert and I relaxed by the fire. Blake took this picture of us. He thought he was very big!

We did not get pictures of the little rabbits that came out at dusk, the beautiful starry sky, or our flashlight walk. All the things that make camping such a fun experience.
Tucked into bed... and off to sleep we went.

We awoke to the sweet sounds of Barrett blowing spit bubbles. Some stretching was in order for our sore bodies after sleeping on the hard bunk bed mattresses.
It was right back outside for a breakfast of bacon and eggs prepard for us by our daddy.
The weather was beautiful...just right for camping!

More play time
Practicing his balancing skills
Robert and I relaxing by the morning fire. After Blake took our picture he would say, "Good smile" or "Good picture".
We are at the trailhead getting ready for our hike.
hiking...

We saw mushrooms, horse apples, hog rootings, deer tracks, and raccoon tracks.

still hiking... Barrett's helmet came in handy... the trail was very bumpy!

Taking a break

And off to the playground
A view of Cooper Lake
Our happy camper!
More bike riding!
We were all worn out after our camping adventures.

We had a great time and can't wait until our next adventure!

Visitors Again

I had visitors again! Robert brought the boys to visit me on their way to Barrett's DOC Band appointment. Robert is so thoughtful... he knew I would love some hugs from my boys!

Lube Stop

Blake not only loves to play cars and trucks, he also loves to pretend like he is working on them. Here he is spending an evening "changing the oil" in Daddy's truck. At this point he had already "put four new tires on it". What would we do without him here to keep our vehicles serviced!
