Mother/Daughter Tea

The GMO's (Girls Mission Organization) had a Mother/Daughter Tea.  I was honored to attend with my beautiful daughter!
Such a special time spent with my daughter, as well as other mom's and daughters!

Giving

One of mine and Robert's top priorities in raising our kids is to teach them how to be selfless and giving.  This past week, the kids showed us that they are learning this and already applying it to their lives.
Blake set his alarm to wake up early and make his daddy breakfast before he left for work.  Normally Robert is already gone for work before Blake even wakes up, so setting his alarm that early and taking care of his daddy was an incredible act of selflessness for this sleepy preteen!
Our neighbor was involved in a serious car accident.  The kids wanted to make him an apple pie to take over over with ice cream to eat as he recouped.
It makes our hearts so proud and thankful to see the little acts of love and service being initiated by our kids.

Art Night

The kids always do a beautiful job on their art work at school.  I love getting to see it all displayed in the halls!

Spring Break Part 2

The boys set off on their annual BMO (Boys Mission Organization) camp-out the second half of our Spring Break week.
The camp-out is one of their absolute favorite parts of the year.
So thankful for our church family and the time spent deepening faith, friendships, and family!
Tom was zonked after watching the boys unpack:)
Meanwhile the littles and I spent some time doing fun things together!
Making Gak!
Hours of entertainment with the Gak!
A trip to the Children's Museum is always fun!
It was a fun and much needed break from our normal routine!

Mt. Pleasant - Day 4

It rained during the early morning hours, so we woke up to a wet outdoor world!
We ate breakfast in the camper and then got to work packing up.  It was chilly and sprinkled off and on while we packed up.
After we packed up, we hit the road, headed home... until next time!
We stopped at the Collin Street Bakery for a treat on the way home.
Our first camping trip of the season was a success!  Looking forward to many more!
The best days are spent camping! #campmcintire

Mt. Pleasant - Day 3

Today our RV buddies had to pack up and head home.  We stayed an extra day since it was our Spring Break.
The sun came out and warmed us up a bit, but we still kept the campfire burning all day.
The boys got out their remote control cars to drive on the dirt roads.
It was a quiet day today.  We pretty much had the place to ourselves.  The kids played pool at the rec room, rode bikes, and played with their remote control cars.
We ate dinner, took showers, played cards, and headed to bed.
It was a beautiful day, full of relaxation!

Mt. Pleasant - Day 2

We woke up to a chilly morning today.
After we ate breakfast, the kids headed over to the pond to fish.  They spent most of the morning here.
Today we sat around the campfire to stay warm.  The kids fished, played on the playground, rode bikes, and played in the dirt.
The forecast kept showing a slight chance of rain around dinnertime, so we went ahead and made s'mores for an afternoon snack... just in case it rained on our campfire later that evening.
We spent the rest of the afternoon doing more of the same.
We fixed foil packs of sausage, corn on the cob, and diced potatoes for dinner.  We cooked them in the campfire.  They were so yummy!!
It was a chilly evening, so we hung out in the camper for the evening, instead of the campfire.  Some rounds of Speed and War, followed by fun with picture filters and lots of laughter to end our day.

KOA - Mt. Pleasant

Hip hip hooray, it's camping season!
We set off for Mt. Pleasant for our first weekend camping trip of the season.
We left after school Friday, so arrived after dark.
Our RV buddies were already there and set up.
We set up quickly and then enjoyed the campfire.
The Duncans gave us a gift for our camper.  We wasted no time brewing a pot of coffee to drink while we sat around the campfire.
We put the kids to bed and then sat out and chatted around the campfire until way too late!

Life Lately

A great morning... drinking coffee and looking at the new KOA Directory!
Blake is on Safety Patrol this year at school.  He is very dedicated and has received several compliments!  I'm so proud of him!
 Kaleb made his first basket!
I love getting to love on my nieces and nephew on Sunday mornings when I help in the nursery!
Brynn and her friend were hoping they would both show up in their matching skirts for class picture day!  They were so excited to see that it worked out!
