Excellent Eagles are chosen by classroom peers.  These students demonstrate excellence in all areas of their school community.

We are so proud of Barrett and his good character and integrity!

Cooper Lake SP Last Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Camp McIntire!

Today was our last day at camp.  It started off warmer than any of the other mornings.

We went on a hilly bike ride before we got packed up.

 We had a great time kicking off the 2019 camping season with the Hawkins!

Looking forward to many more fun trips for #campmcintire this year!

Cooper Lake State Park Day 3

Good morning from Camp McIntire!

 Today Robert had to drive back into town to escort the funeral procession for Ralph Hall.

The rest of us stayed at camp.

We went on a three mile hike, hung out at camp, and let the tired kiddos take a rest in the camper.

 When Robert came home, we ate dinner and enjoyed chatting by the fire.

Cooper Lake State Park Day 2

Good morning from Camp McIntire!

 It's a chilly morning, but the sun is shining!

We started the day off with a delicious breakfast cooked on our Blackstone Griddle.

After we filled our bellies with coffee and breakfast and had a little time to relax in our rockers, we went on a family bike ride,

It had a nice covered table, fire pit, and good sized yard.

 We enjoyed some downtime at camp for the afternoon.

 A short family hike on a nearby trail.

 We grilled burgers for dinner while the kids played at camp.

 A warm fire and yummy S'mores to end our day.

Hip hip hooray for camping season!

Clean sheets and freshly made beds to start the new season!

 We loaded the camper and hit the road as soon as Robert got home from work.

 We arrived just after dark, set up, and then visited with our cousins/camping buddies in the warm camper.  It was a little chilly, so we were thankful for the warmth!

We went to bed looking forward to the days ahead!

Happy Birthday Barrett!

Today we celebrated Barrett's 11th birthday!

I was subbing today, so I got to see him on our morning announcements.

 He chose Rosa's Café for dinner,

 and cheesecake for dessert!

A few days after his birthday he got a special surprise from Culver's.

 Happy Birthday to our sensitive, caring, easy-going, camper loving Barrett!  We love you!
