Vacation Day 3, Pirate Night

After a full day in Cozumel and a quick power nap, we got showered and put on our pirate best.
Tonight was Pirate Night!
Everyone on the ship was dressed in their pirate best, including the characters and our servers.
Our travel buddies, the Moore family.
Our dinner was pirate themed.
Kinsley and Brynn telling girl secrets.
The oldest (and getting way too old) in our group, Blake and Chaney.
After a fun dinner, and a visit with this guy...
we made our way to the theatre for the live show.  Tonight's show was called Villains.
One of the big things that made tonight so different from the other nights was the Pirate Deck Party that was happening after the show... which made this a late night!
We went up to deck 10 to watch the show so the kids could see better.
There was lots of singing and dancing and visits from the characters, including this spectacular entrance.
The whole gang was there to put on a top notch pirate dance party for us!
As the deck party ended, fireworks shot through the sky.
They use fireworks made from food products so that when the debris falls into the ocean, it won't harm the sea life.
This was the most jammed packed day, but was one of the best ones!  We saw the sun rise from our balcony as we sailed into Mexico, we spent the day in the sun on the beach of Cozumel, and partied and danced the night away with everything pirate.  We parted ways with our friends (who were headed up to the pirate buffet) so we could get back to the room and get the kids daddy to bed.

Vacation Day 3, Cozumel

We got on our bus and were driven about 10 minutes to Playa Mia, Grand Beach Park.
It was a water park/beach with all kinds of fun activities.  We went to the beach first since the kids were anxious to play in the ocean and sand.
The boys went full tilt into the water.  Brynn was a little bit more reserved.
Barrett was the only brave one in our group who would let the birds sit on his arms.  The man said we weren't allowed to take a picture because he wanted to take a picture with his camera to sell us.  Good thing Holly was standing behind him and snapped one real quick as he was putting the birds on Barrett's arms.
After a morning spent in the sand and salt water, we made our way up to the pavilion for lunch.
And reapplication of sunscreen.
After lunch, the kids were ready to play at the water park.  It wasn't huge, but paired with the beach, it was just enough to entertain us for the day!
Blake, Chaney, and Kinsley couldn't wait to try this big slide out.  Barrett wanted to so badly, but wasn't a strong enough swimmer to handle the landing and the lifeguard wouldn't let us wait to catch him at the bottom.  So he sadly went to the kiddy area.

All smiles!
The kiddy area was a neat pirate themed area with lots of little slides and things to play on, as well as water squirting from all over.  Kinsley, Barrett, and Brynn moved at full speed through this area!
They all five played Hide and Go Seek for a while.
We were the first ones back on the bus, 10 minutes before our scheduled departure, just to make sure we didn't miss our ride back to the ship.  When everyone else got on, the driver took us back to the port to end our time on Cozumel.
Another view of our home away from home.
A million attempts later, we finally, kind of got a picture of us in front of the ship.  The sun was making it hard for the kids to open their eyes for the picture!
We had a blast in Cozumel!  It was one of the highlights of our trip!  I had a million more pictures, but thought all of these were enough:)
We boarded the ship and went back to our rooms for a very quick nap.  Tonight was Pirate Night and we needed to get rested up!
