Mid Week

Blake's appointment for his thumb went well.  He has a hairline fracture and the doctor recommended him keep the hand splint on for 3 more weeks before going back for new x-rays.  Yay, no cast!

I have finished my blog book 2011... finally!  It is always my summer project and I am so glad to have it done!  1,866 pictures/ 364 pages later... yikes!

The summer temps have officially reached the triple digits, yuck!  We are doing anything we can to stay cool!

Ouch

So goes the McIntire's trip to visit yet another doctor.  This go round it is for Blake.  He and daddy were playing basketball in the driveway one evening.  Daddy thought it would be a lot of fun to see how far down the driveway he could back up, shoot, and still make the basket.  Well, he had worked himself pretty far down the driveway, launched the ball, it shot off the rim, and spun straight over to Blake's thumb. Blake was standing to the side and it all happened so fast.  Blake stuck his hands up to either catch or protect himself from the flying ball... and that's when it happened.  A quiet pop and lots of crying came soon after that.

 The x-ray shows a fracture.  Urgent Care gave him a nice splint and sling to wear until we get him to an orthopaedic doctor.

 There has been a lot of swelling, bruising, and pain.  But he has handled it like a champ.

We go to the doctor tomorrow to see what needs to be done.

Getting Wet

On our summer 'bucket list", we included to try out a new spray park.

 After swim lessons, we went straight to our destination.

 The 3 had fun getting wet!

 They could have stayed for hours, but we needed to get home for lunch.

 So, a good solid hour of fun is what they got.

 Quite a bit of a difference for this little girl compared to last summer!  She actually played in the water this year!

 And of course this guy did too.

 I am so glad we have fun spots like this nearby.

 Poor Blake actually has a hurt hand at this time... more on that in a later post.

 Barrett was like a little tornado running around and playing.

 Brynn wasn't quite a tornado, but as you can see, she had fun!

 Our fun was over, with promises of hitting another spray park soon.

Father's Day

We awoke this Father's Day to find our daddy home with us.  He hasn't had this day off work in many years, and it was nice to be able to celebrate with him.

We journeyed out to the place my parents are camping so that we could spend the day with our family.

We spent a while in the pool,

Where we swam,

floated,

splashed,

and played.

After pool time, while we were drying off, the boys played a quick game of putt putt.

Back to the campsite for dinner we went.

After dinner we went to "the hills" for some stunt riding.

"The hills" are just that... a few small hills.

 As small as they may be, 

 they have entertained our family for many years!

 We ended the night by roasting marshmallows,

 and eating yummy s'mores.

Pink Party

Brynn was invited to an all girls, very pink party... for one of her best friends, Kinsley.

 She was so excited the night before as we picked out her pink dress and pink sandals to wear.

Everything was perfectly pink and very pretty.
