Halloween at Tres Rios
This year we decided to try something new and go camping Halloween weekend. Most campgrounds plan fun Halloween activities, so we wanted to give it a try.
Our RVing buddies joined us for a fun weekend!
Tres Rios is one of our favorite RV resorts and we were excited to be back!
We went up to the kids' center to carve pumpkins.
We played all afternoon, then ate dinner early so that we would be ready for the campground trick-or-treating.

It was a neat experience to trick-or-treat from camper to camper!
We went back to our campsite to check out our loot.
At dark there was a Halloween Party at the Lodge.
The boys had fun playing the mummy wrap game. Kids 10 and younger wrapped the kids 11 and older. It was fun to watch Blake get mummy wrapped!
The boys won the contest against the girls.
Barrett won a trophy for Funniest Costume and Kaleb won for Sweetest Costume.
We called it a night and went back to camp.
The next morning we ate breakfast at the Lodge, and then played and played.
We sat in rocking chairs and drank our coffee as we watched the littles play. The big boys were off riding their bikes for miles!
On a whim, we decided to drive into town after lunch to eat dessert at Pie Peddlers. Texas Country Reporter named it "Texas Best Pie".
We had a fabulous weekend and weren't ready when it came time to pack up camp and head back home.

Trunk-or-Treat

Stella came over to spend the evening with us. The kids had so much fun together!
