This and That

We have enjoyed looking at Jupiter and Venus in the sky each night.
I got a much needed and enjoyed evening out.
The kids are all about the jumps again this year!

Randomness

Our church and local choirs performed, "An American Celebration".  It was a concert recognizing and honoring First Responders and Armed Forces.
The new Buc-ee's in a nearby town opened and we couldn't wait to go check it out!
I had to try a new blog book company this year since my usual one wasn't working.  I got my new book in.  What I didn't love about it was that all of the pictures come standard printed the same size, instead of me getting to make my favorites larger.  What I loved about it was the fact that it took 30 minutes flat to upload, create, and order!

Swimming

We've had a lot of fun swimming this summer already!
We've even made our way down to the lake.  The kids had a blast swimming and jumping the waves.

Camping

The kids always look forward to their annual camping trip with Gram and Papa.  This year it was more exciting because of all of the rain we've had.  The lake came up and you could actually see water.  Kaleb and I dropped off the big kids and then grabbed a Blizzard on our way back home.
 We went swimming,
 and admired the full lake.
Meanwhile, the kids were having fun catching frogs and riding bikes in the overly full lake.
The lake was flowing over the road in the campgrounds from our big rain the weekend before.
They played putt-putt and Blake made a hole in one!
They came back with lots of stories of the fun they had!  So thankful for these great memories!

Father's Day

There has been an unusual amount of rainfall this year in Texas.  We woke up to more storms on Father's Day.  We couldn't even see the curbs in front of our house it had gotten so deep.  The retaining wall in our side yard finally gave and water came running out like a river.
Our traditional Father's Day plans had to be changed up a bit since we normally spend the day outside.  Once the rain let up and the water drained off a bit, we drove to Shannon's house to have an indoor lunch together.
The selfie stick made an appearance and we realized we could fit all 19 of us in a picture.  We had fun, even though it wasn't how we had originally planned to spend the day.
Happy Father's Day to all of the dads in our family!

Water Balloons

The kids love throwing water balloons.  It has become a summer tradition to have water balloon fights.  I saw one of the new water balloon sets that you can fill 50 at once, and they tie themselves.  We decided to give it a try instead of spending forever filling and tying all of them ourselves.  It worked out well and our preparation time was cut way down.
