Oh Christmas Tree

We made our annual trek out to the local tree farm to kick off the Christmas season.

It took a little more work to select this year due to the extreme heat and drought we had this summer.  We decided to go with simple this year and found the perfect little guy.

After much time spent in the field searching, we enjoyed our traditional latte and pecans at the barn!

Post-Thanksgiving

The day after Thanksgiving was spent at home, warm & cozy.  I wasn't feeling well, so I spent a lot of time on the couch.  It was a great day to unwind after our beach trip travels and Thanksgiving.

Brynn, Kaleb, and I baked our traditional Thanksgiving pies and desserts for our family dinner.

We took a break to head over and welcome Uncle Josh home from overseas for the last time.

We all gathered for our Grable Family Dinner, but I didn't take any pictures.  It was an evening filled with lots of food, memories (Aunt Cathy and Derek joined us), and laughter.

Goodbye, Port A

 

Today was cloudy and chilly, but since it was time to pack up and head back home, we were ok with it.

This was the perfect, relaxing fall beach trip!

Port A - Day 3

Today was another day spent at the beach.  The sun, sand, waves, and breeze made it perfect!

One of the perks of this campground is that it is a short distance from the campground, over the boardwalk, straight out to the beach.

It was another relaxing day spent beachside and in our rockers at the campsite.

Port A - Day 2

This morning we walked the beach to hunt for treasures.

We went into town for lunch, shopping, and dessert.

We spent the rest of the day at the beach. The weather was perfect!  

We ate dinner at camp and ended the evening with games and rocking chairs.

Port Aransas

Hello, sunshine and salty air!

We love our time in Port A at the Gulf Waters Beachfront RV Resort!

We made good time, set up camp, went down to the beach, and then dinner at Port A Pizzeria.

Afterwards, we came back to camp for card games and rocking chairs.

It was a wonderful first day in paradise!
