We started our day off here...

It was time for Barrett to get his cast off and new x-rays done. He cried and cried while they sawed his cast off. I don't blame him! It was loud and scary! Blake stood off to the side scowling because he didn't like them upsetting his brother. So I ended up comforting Blake while Robert handled Barrett. As soon as they turned the saw off, Barrett stopped crying. They used a special tool to finish the job and then his arm was free. Let me tell you his arm smelled
lovely (yikes!). After several wipe downs with baby wipes, we knew we just had to wait until bath time to get it smelling normal again. We weren't lucky enough to leave without one more contraption... He has to wear a splint for two more weeks. At that point he will be contraption free!

I wanted to take the boys somewhere
GREEN for St. Patty's Day...
and so to the lush
green grass of the Arboretum is where we went!

My grandparents had a membership here and lived right around the corner, so I spent lots of time here when I was young. With sadness in my heart I walked my boys around where I used to spend so much precious time.

Of course the boys brought so much joy to my heart as I watched them experience one of my favorite childhood places.

These two boys love flowers! They couldn't get enough of smelling them. Barrett was sniffing so hard that the flowers were blowing under him . He couldn't resist trying to pick a few as Blake was busy shouting out the names of the flowers he recognized.

It was pretty crowded since it was spring break and Wednesday coupon day. We sat on our quilt and watched the boys run around... until Daddy joined them in a game of tag and hide and seek. Even though it was crowded, there was still plenty of room to play in the beautiful
green grass.

Our little photographer was happy to take our picture. He takes his job very seriously!

After a few hours and a few
grass stained knees we bid the "flower patch" (as Blake called it) farewell.
