Day 3 we all woke up and set out for the Creation Museum. Jaden stayed home with his Mamaw since it was such a long day.
We packed a picnic lunch and ate it on the way.
The building and land where the museum is, was beautiful!
There were a few live animals to see, the rest were artificial.
There were a lot of things to read and see concerning what the Bible teaches about creation and our faith.
Some of it was over the kids' heads, some of it was on their level.
One of their favorite parts were the rooms about Noah's Ark. They had different rooms set up walking you through the building of the ark, the flood, what the inside of the ark might look like, and what life would have been like on the ark.
The boys are looking at models of the ark as the animals loaded two by two, and what it would have looked like as the land was covered with water.
It was a very large museum, with lots to see! We could have been in there for hours... but had to skim read things to keep moving for the kids' sake.
We got the kids a snack of ice cream and headed out to the botanical gardens.
There was a shaky bridge that went across the pond. The boys loved it,
Brynn did not.
We walked down the path, through the beautiful plants and flowers.
Across the bridges.
Over the docks.
To the petting zoo.
There were plenty of furry friends to see and feed.
Barrett wanted so badly to hand feed this cow, but would jerk his hand back every time the cow tried to get the food. He finally got brave enough (with some help from James and Kacey) to let the cow get a bite of food.
He was very proud when he finally did it!
We found a beautiful spot for family pictures.
We went back over the bridges,
and down the path to make our way back to the car.
We got home in time to love on Jaden before we headed to bed.
