Cross Country

We've had really nice weather for Barrett's cross country meets.  This meet was local, but it was a tough one!  A very hilly course gave Barrett quite the workout.  He ran a 14.36 and came across the finish line dry heaving.  He was questioning his decision to run cross country after this meet :)

 We are proud of Barrett for pushing through, even when it was hard!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Today we went out to the tree farm to cut down our Christmas tree.

It didn't take us too long to find the perfect tree!

The boys got to work cutting it down.

We loaded it on the wagon and went back up to the barn for warm drinks before we left.

It was a fun day making memories with our friends as we begin the Christmas season!

We are looking forward to next year!

Thanksgiving

We got back home from Port Aransas in time to prep for Thanksgiving.

Brynn and I got to work on baking pies.

Port Aransas - Going to Town

Today we had a cold front come through.  It was quite a bit different from our day in the sun yesterday!

We enjoyed a slow morning at camp.

At lunchtime we went into town for a delicious lunch and souvenir shopping.

We went to the local ice cream shop for dessert.

Brynn and I shared the most delicious coffee shake!

We had the most wonderful surprise when Bill and his family came into the same ice cream shop!  He is the founder of Morning Star Foundation in China and spent the first two years of Brynn's life with her there.

It was another beautiful night at camp!

It was a perfect last night in Port A!  We can't wait to come visit again!

Port Aransas - Beach Day

We woke up to a beautiful morning!  This campground is so nice with great views!  This is a view looking across the pond at the Duncan's and our campsites

Today was predicted to be a beautiful, warm day... perfect for a day at the beach!

This campground has an easy path over the boardwalk to the beach.  We spent the whole day at the beach, only going back to the campers for lunch.

These four went for a 2-mile beach jog and came back ready to cool off in the ocean!

It was a warm, relaxing, fun day at the beach!

The sunset at camp was absolutely stunning!  We ate a yummy dinner that we cooked at camp, Quinlan was exhausted and slept all wrapped up in a towel on our patio, we looked at some planets that were shining bright in the sky, we took IQ tests online and all compared our IQ's... such a fun way to end a good day :)

Port Aransas

Greetings from Port Aransas!

We started our Thanksgiving break off with some relaxing time at the beach.

Quinlan got to travel with us for the first time and did great!

Gulf Waters Beach Front RV Resort is a beautiful campground, the perfect place for our stay!

The heated pool was the perfect way to end the day!
