BMO's & The Vanderbeekers

Kaleb's group at church on Wednesday night is working on packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child.

One of Brynn's favorite book series had a new release coming out.  I surprised her and ordered an autographed copy.

It was the perfect book in this series to get autographed.  The Vanderbeeker family is on a road trip and visiting National Parks, a lot of the ones that we have visited.

RV Show & Family Night

We always love a good RV show!  We went along with the Duncans to check out the latest designs and floorplans.  

We left our puppies at Doggy Daycare to play while we were gone.

For dinner, we had a family fun night with some friends from church.

We also packed up some more jars of dry soup to pass out in the community.

Life is good!

I-30 Classic

We enjoyed cheering our team on at the I-30 Classic!  It's always a fun night when we play the rival team from our own district!  Brynn was part of the pre-game fun.

All The Things

Brynn is enjoying middle school and has been doing all the things that come along with an active teenage life.

She was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.

Football season has started back up again, so we get to watch our girl dance!  Her smile lights up the field while she dances!  She is so joyful!

The Weekend

Whew, we made it to Friday!  A little dog therapy at the end of a long week!

We started Saturday morning with the SERVE Team at church packing jars of dry soup to pass out in our community.

Sunday Kaleb and I went to a local circus with one of  his school friends.

He had never been to the circus.  We had a great time!

1 Year

Today marks 1 year since we learned the dreadful news that Elleigh had a massive tumor on her brain that required emergency surgery.  We also learned shortly after that the tumor was cancerous.  And life forever changed.

We are so thankful for the doctors, nurses, surgeons, therapy dogs, modern medicine, church family, friends, and our own family who have all played a vital role in our lives in the last year.

While this day isn't one we necessarily celebrate due to all of the darkness, fear, and uncertainties that came along with it, we celebrate LIFE.  We celebrate how far God has brought Elleigh this year and all that we've learned along the way about faith, hope, prayer, and love.

Our Elleigh is truly a warrior and a miracle.  We thank God every day for her!

Grandparents Day

It's always a special day when Gram and Papa surprise Kaleb at lunch!

September Happenings

Blake and Barrett love serving on Wednesday nights.  Blake plays the guitar and Barrett runs the soundboard.

Barrett stays after youth for orchestra practice with the choir.  He enjoys playing during all 3 church services on Sunday mornings.

Labor Day Weekend

Blake enjoyed some time on the lake with the Stuarts.

Brynn and I ran errands, complete with our first trip to Dutch Bros.

It was a big weekend for Quinlan and Brynn worked so hard to prepare his special treats.

Homecoming Week

Homecoming week was filled with themed dress-up days, the parade, and the big game.

Seeing everyone wearing their favorite holiday wear was a fun day!  Kaleb and I wore 4th of July gear. It was fun to see all of the holidays represented across the school that day.

We got front-row seats for the parade. We were ready to cheer Brynn and Barrett on when they came by.

Barrett represented the gymnastics team.

Brynn was on the drill team float.

Barrett went to the big game with the Smithey's.

It was a fun-filled week!
