VBS

This year Vacation Bible School was a little bit different, due to COVID... but we were so thankful that we got to have it in-person!

Brynn is in 6th grade and has worked all year in the LIT (Leaders in Training) program, so she had a leadership role this year.

 VBS 2021 is headed to present-day Israel where discovery awaits at Destination Dig. Kids will unearth more than dirt as they dig up exciting evidence that proves biblical events were not just stories. As junior archaeologists, kids will explore real-life archaeological finds that have helped to uncover the truth about Jesus! Along the way, they’ll discover the truth of Jeremiah 29:13, that God reveals Himself to us when we seek and search for Him with all our hearts.

Son's Island

This morning we were happy to wake up to dry skies!  After the threatened chance of storms all weekend, we were so thankful they went around us!

Today we set out for day at Son's Island.

We got the same cabana that we had last year.

The kids played for hours!  We sat in the cabana and snacked for hours!

We had a wonderful day on the island! We showered and went back into Gruene for dinner at a delicious pizza place!

We were excited for our annual trip to Son's Island with the Stuarts.  There was a chance of thunderstorms the entire weekend, but we decided to go for it anyway!

We started our first night in Gruene with dinner at gristmill.  It was extra special because it was Jaxson's 16th Birthday!

We ate dinner and walked around the cute town for a little bit, visiting our favorite antique shop and of course Gruene Hall!
