Outdoor Fun

Due to rain and soggy baseball fields, the second day of the baseball tournament was cancelled.  They are making plans to reschedule.
After church, our afternoon consisted of this.
Playing, having fun, and enjoying each other!
The kids played for hours in the sand and water.
The only downfall to the sandpit, is the cleanup.
We spray down with the water hose and then go in for baths... but sandy clothes and floors always seem to follow.  It's worth the extra time in clean up for the fun and  memories we make.
After dinner we went out to watch the lightening bugs.
Blake caught one, so we quickly put it in a jar to look at more closely.
Brynn wanted to catch enough to make a lantern.  We didn't catch that many, but we had fun looking at the one Blake caught for us.
When we were done watching him in the jar, Blake opened it up to set him free.
We had such a fun day and are looking forward to many more like it this summer!

Wounded Warriors Tournament

Blake's baseball team played in the Wounded Warriors Tournament on Memorial Day weekend.
It rained the night before, so the fields were nice and soggy.
We lost the first game we played.
But not because of a lack of fans and cheering!
We went home for lunch, and then back to the fields for another game.
The Warriors brought their game this time,
and were able to put a win in the books.
More games the next day...
To be continued...

Signs of Summer

When we start playing at the park in the sand and water...
you know that summer is almost here!
We love our evenings spent relaxing at the park while the kids play!
When Barrett gets to start having playground days and gym days...
you know that summer is almost here!
He has been counting down for these special days at school!
Summer is on the horizon!

Baseball, Baseball, Baseball

Blake loves baseball and loves playing for the Warriors!
One of his teammates celebrated his birthday after one of our Friday evening games with a team sleepover.  This was Blake's first sleepover!  They swam, ate pizza and cake, watched Rookie of the Year and played a trivia game.  Blake had a blast!
We have now officially ended baseball season, with the exception of a couple of tournaments.
The Warriors won their last game, which landed them in 1st place for their age bracket in the league.
We had a great season!  Blake has big plans of perfecting his pitch before next season when we start kid pitch.
Go Warriors!

Mother's Day

I am so thankful for the opportunity to be mom to these 3 kids!
There was another mom on the other side of the world on my mind too.  I am so thankful she chose life for her daughter.  I hope she knows how proud I am to be her mommy!
We spent the afternoon with Robert's mom and the evening with mine.  I didn't take many pictures, but you can click HERE to see more from our evening.
We gave mom the pictures we had taken of all her grandchildren then spent the evening at the park eating pizza and cookies.
It was a wonderful day celebrating all of the moms in our life!

Mother's Day Pictures

As a surprise gift to my mom for Mother's Day, we got all the cousins together and had their picture taken.
We did group pictures, sibling pictures, and individual pictures.

Our picture wasn't professionally taken... just the trusty tripod.
We framed them and wrapped them up for Mother's Day!

Graduation

On May 11th , my older sister finished her college education with a degree in education.
The 4 sisters.
My camera was acting up, so I didn't get a lot of pictures.  I missed out on a picture of her crossing the stage, but she did it!
We are so proud of her hard work and accomplishment!!
It turns out that my best friend, who I graduated from college with in 2002 and currently teach with, also had a sister graduating in the same ceremony.  We had an anniversary/alumni picture taken together.
