After 4 straight days in the parks, we were happy to spend the day at Fort Wilderness again.
This is the best campground and we were looking forward to a day of relaxing and exploring.
We started the morning off with a golf cart ride up to Trails End for the most delicious breakfast buffet.
The food and atmosphere here are the absolute best. This is by far our favorite place to eat!
Afterward, we did a little relaxing and rocking while our food settled.
We went back to our campsite to continue our relaxing.
On our first day here, the kids made a Mickey head out of pinecones to decorate the entrance of our site. They wanted me to record it in time-lapse. It was fun to watch it and see them creating the Mickey head in super-speed.
Sitting in our rockers with full bellies... magical!
We went up to the Meadows to get free sodas in our refillable mugs and then went looping.
We made our way back up to the Settlement. The boys played Checkers on the porch while we walked over to the stable.
Brynn was too tall for a pony ride, so she watched and walked with me.
Kaleb had a fun time, and we had fun watching him!
We decided to ferry across to the Contemporary Resort,
to catch the monorail,
over to the Polynesian Resort for lunch.
After we ate poolside and browsed the gift shops, we rode the monorail the loop back to the Contemporary. Since we still had a ton of snack points, we feasted on snacks at the Contemporary.
After we filled our tummies with yummy food and desserts, we rode the ferry back to Fort Wilderness.
Brynn bought herself a rock and mineral excavation kit at one of the park gift shops, so she and Kaleb dug for rocks and minerals at our campsite.
The boys walked up to the pier to play in the sand and play tetherball.
We enjoyed sitting and relaxing.
Brynn dug forever and got a handful of treasures!
Site 1218 was good to us!
We stopped by the Meadows on our way back from dinner to cash in all of our snack points. We loaded up on snacks for the trip back home (we made healthier choices for the ride home than what we've been feasting on all week).
We got everything packed up and ready to get back on the road early tomorrow morning.
Fort Wilderness days are some of our favorite days and today was no different!
