Memorial Day Evening

Memorial Day evening we invited some friends over for a very simple, relaxing evening.
 Very simple!
We ate our hotdogs from the grill, and you guessed it... headed to the "beach"!
This has very quickly become one of the kids' favorite things to do!

 Their sweet friend Corie.

 Such sweet little friends!
After our friends went home, we stayed outside spraying the sand off before heading in for baths.
The parents enjoyed the action from our comfy rocker.
After the spray down, the little guys wanted to lay down to look at the moon.
 So simple, so fun!
We played until dusk and then went in to finish cleaning up and head to bed.

Memorial Day Sunday

We are very aware and thankful for the men and women who have fought for our country and have given their lives to maintain our freedom.  This is something that this family does not take for granted!
This Memorial Day Sunday Blake was at Gram and Papa's house.  So, it was the 4 of us that loaded up and headed to church.
It was so fun for me to get to see the two little ones interact together, without Blake.  This is something I normally don't get to see. They played the cutest things, including pretending like they were Uncle Bradley and Aunt Mantha, along with their baby Zoey.
While the two littles were having time together, Blake was soaking up some time to himself at Gram and Papa's.
That evening, we all headed to Gram and Papa's house for dinner.
Mom cooked us up a delicious dinner,
as well as these cute little pudding "ice cream" cones.
Our newest little family member was there.
The kids made Uncle Joshie a birthday card to be mailed to him overseas.
They worked very hard and made the most wonderful masterpiece.  (hope Josh isn't looking at this)!
Outside for some wiffle ball is where we headed next.
Look at these two, so into the game.  Apparently your success is all about the face!
 Calm and collected.
Brynn was so glad Zoey woke up so she could dote on her.
And she didn't mind getting doted on herself!
I had to do a little doting myself.
 Baby yawns are the best!
 Brynn was back for more!
I didn't get many pictures of the boys, including their daddy who were very busy playing in the yard!
Happy Memorial Day!

Barrett's Family Day

Barrett had his end of the year Family Day for his speech class.
His class sang a few songs and his teacher gave us a special memory book she made.
There were yummy snacks provided... powdered donuts, one of Barrett's favorites!
Barrett's speech class is housed at the elementary school that Cade attends.  Cade was able to volunteer in Barrett's class for this special day (and a couple of other occasions throughout the year).
We got to spend time with our little ones playing on the playground before they all said goodbye for the summer.
As usual, we are completely pleased with the progress he has made, as well as his wonderful, caring teacher.  We are looking forward to one more year!

End Of School Fun

The end of the school year means lots of fun activities!
Field Day is always a student favorite!
Yearbooks came in, which means a yearbook signing party!
Lots of little autographs being signed.
The memories that elementary school is made of!

Ice Cold Lemonade

Nothing says summer like a cup of ice cold lemonade!
After being at the park all morning at a birthday party,
we were happy to stop by our friends' lemonade stand on the way home for a refreshing drink!
 Oh yes, refreshing indeed!
Brynn needed a little attention from her mother hen, Kinsley.
