Swimming

The boys and I made our first trip to the pool for the summer... and we were greeted by very cold water!! Lucky for Mommy, Aunt Yay Yay was there to swim with the boys!

Barrett didn't last long (he is like Mommy and doesn't like cold water!). He was happier snacking in the shade while we all watched Blake swim.

Family Fun

We had dinner at my parent's house this weekend. Cousins, Aunts, and Uncles were all there!

After dinner we made S'mores and played outside until dark.

The boys in their matching Pirate shirts Gram and Papa brought them back from Florida.

Barrett loves the Emus. Papa took him in to feed the baby Emus (only after he penned up the overprotective daddy Emu). And yes, Barrett thought he might like a taste of the yummy Emu food. Papa had to quickly dig it out of his mouth.

We had a great time and look forward to many more summer gatherings!

A Hint Of Summer

We had a hint of summer this past week when we turned on the sprinkler. They both just stood and stared at first. Blake asked if I could make the water warmer for him. After I told him, "no" he decided to go for it.

This was Barrett's first time to play in the sprinkler, and he didn't know what to think.

He did a lot of standing and watching the water hit the ground...

and his big belly!

We can't wait for summer!

Celebrating 10 Years

Robert and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary today. We spent this past weekend in Galveston, TX as an early celebration.

We had a wonderful time doing not much of anything. Robert jogged while I rode this lovely yellow bike we rented. We jogged/rode about 3 miles on the sea wall. We also spent a some time lounging by the ocean and our pool.

We went to some delicious places for dinner.

We saw these beautiful flowers when we walked to dinner.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time!

Eating For David

David's Benefit was a huge success! We are so glad that we were able to be a part of something so special!

In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. Ephesians 2:21-22

Spring Sing

Tonight was the Spring Sing at church. All of the Children's Choir classes sang in front of the church.

Blake has been praciticing his favorite song they sang "I Am Wonderfully Made". He sang very loud... and very off beat. Here you can see the little boy standing beside him staring at him because he was singing so loud... and so off beat. At one point the little girl in front of him even turned around to look at the boy behind her singing so loud.

We were very proud of him (and he was very proud of himself) and loved the sound of his sweet singing voice!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to Kacey... her first Mother's Day was spent in the NICU... and this year she gets to celebrate at HOME!
