Day 3 Disney Hollywood Studios

This morning we had reservations for breakfast at Disney Hollywood Studios. This is a picture of the boys in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby of our hotel before we left for the day.
Waiting for the bus to come get us.

The very tall tree at Hollywood Studios

We got there nice and early... they let us in before the gates opened since we had early reservations. What a treat!

We walked around right outside the restaurant while we waited for them to call our name.

The restaurant

It was a Playhouse Disney Character Breakfast.

There was singing and dancing. Blake took his dancing very serious... Barrett was in awe.
Blake was thrilled to see June and Leo from the Little Einsteins.

Barrett couldn't take his eyes off of them!

After we ate we headed over to Toy Story Mania, one of our favorite rides.
As we walked by the Back Lot Tour, Blake said (without us even asking), "I guess I will go ahead and ride this one. I was only 3 last time when it scared me. This time I am 4 so I will be ok."
Blake was still a little nervous, but it didn't phase Barrett one bit!
After riding that we went to the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. Both boys had fun running, sliding, and playing!

We didn't get to see these guys last time. Blake was excited to get their autograph and a picture. Barrett was laughing and giving Woody five.

Of course he was grinning ear to ear when we got to see his favorite Lightening and Mator!
We watched the stunt show or "stunk show" as Blake calls it. He didn't move the whole time. He loves this one! Barrett enjoyed it too, but had trouble sitting still for that long.

We then went to watch the Block Party as it came through. This was so fun for all of us. We sang and danced. The toy story float was right in front of us... our favorite!
When Barrett finally fell asleep for his much needed nap... we all enjoyed some fun treats! We sat in the shade, rested our feet, and ate our snack.

We came back to the hotel for dinner. We ate a yummy meal, fixed some hot cocoa, and walked around our resort.

The boys ran and played on football section of the hotel.
We came back to the room to get some sleep before another fun day tomorrow!

Day 2 Arrival

We started this morning with a wake up call from Barrett... he started saying "Mama" at 6:30. We all got up and headed down to breakfast at our hotel. We were back on the road ready for more driving by 8:00 a.m. We stopped at a rest stop for lunch. The weather was beautiful and the boys enjoyed climbing and running around.

This was one of our favorite stops because of the nice weather and the fun we had running around.

Back on the road ready to make our way to Disney World! The boys took short naps and we hit a lot of traffic.

After lots of traffic, we finally made it!

We were all so excited to see this! Blake started talking non-stop... he was giddy! He said, "Are you ready to have some fun buddies"?

We checked in and found our room first thing.

Then we went back for the luggage. The lady who helped us with our luggage is from Royse City, Tx... I guess it's a small world after all ;)

We went to visit our old stomping grounds from Disney 2008. We were hoping our other 10 family members were going to be there waiting, but they weren't :( We sure do miss them all!

After a quick dinner at the hotel cafe, we rode the bus to the Magic Kingdom,

Where we then took a monorail ride around the Disney grounds.

Blake was an old pro, but Barrett was in awe! He loved the bus ride! They both loved the monorail ride... that is always a favorite!

The boys enjoyed looking out the window at all the sights!
A long day on the road, but very worth it when we pulled in the gates!!
Happy Birthday to Aunt Mantha today! We wish you were here!

Disney 2009 ~ Day 1 On the Road

We set out at 6:30 a.m. for our journey to Disney World. This is a picture of Blake trying his hardest to make Mommy happy with a picture when it is dark outside and there is a very bright flash inside! He was so excited when we woke him up and told him it was time to go! Barrett wasn't so sure about what was going on but seemed excited too.

There was a lot of this going on in the suburban.

We crossed out of Texas and into Louisiana with cloudy, chilly weather.

I got Blake a map and star stickers to track our progress on the road. I started the map with stars on our starting and ending points. Each time we crossed into a new state he put a star on it. He LOVED this activity!!

Back on the road there was plenty of time for reading...

Lunch around 11:00 included sandwiches, chips, cool breezes, and wet weather!

The boys ran off some energy before we got back in to keep on driving.
I love this little rest stop in Louisiana. It is so pretty!

After a long drive, short naps, and lots of "are we to Mississippi yet?" we finally made it to a new state. Blake was ready to put another star on his map!

A stop wouldn't be complete without more running around!

The Welcome Center in Mississippi had some neat NASA things to see.

As the sun was starting to set we crossed into Alabama.
We ate dinner in Alabama and then soon made it to FLORIDA!!
It was too dark to get a picture in front of the "Florida" sign so we made due with this one at the Welcome Center. No running around this time though. A quick stop and we were back on the road.

This is how we all felt after a long 15 hour drive today! We were pleased with our progress on the road and are looking forward to a much shorter drive tomorrow! Blake traveled great... Barrett was restless and didn't like being in the car for so long! Robert and I were tired and ready to call it a night.
Looking forward to our magical day tomorrow!!
