Gotcha Day Charm

This year for Brynn's Gotcha Day, she chose the Best Friend charm for her bracelet.
Two charms combine to form one heart, symbolizing the unending bond formed between only the best of friends.  No two are alike, and can only be matched up with each other, making it truly a special charm.
She wanted me to have the other half of her heart...
We know that God chose us and custom fit us together as mother and daughter.  The newest addition to our charm bracelet is a sweet reminder of God's faithfulness.

This & That

A Saturday morning spent listening to Christmas music and decorating the Christmas tree.
While we were in Frisco one day, the boys wanted to go see Dude Perfect Headquarters.  They were so excited to see headquarters and see Ty's truck parked out front!
Hunting weekends for the boys are their favorite!
We love our special time at home together too!
A self portrait Brynn brought home from school.

Santa Land

The day after Thanksgiving, we set out to kick off the Christmas season at Santa Land.
It was another great year listening to Christmas music and looking at the beautiful lights!

LIT

Blake is in the Leaders in Training (LIT) program at church.
He has weekly responsibilities within the church, as well as homework and scripture memory assignments.
Blake loves this program and takes his responsibilities very seriously.
I love watching him grow and mature in his faith!

Thanksgiving

Brynn, Kaleb, and I started our day off by baking a couple of apple pies.  The boys played outside with our neighbor, and Robert smoked stuffed jalapenos.
We headed to Gram and Papa's house for dinner.
We stopped on the way and set up the trusty tripod for a Thanksgiving Day family picture.
We got there and were joined by all of my sisters and their families.

We feasted, watched the game, visited, and played.
So much to be thankful for!

The Note

Brynn is so thoughtful and likes to leave us notes on our pillow.  Tonight she left Kaleb a note.
He wanted to sleep with his note so he would "have sweet dreams about his big sister".
I'm so thankful for these two!

MotorCops for Kids Toy Run

Robert rode in the MotorCops for Kids Toy Run.
They started in Garland, and as they got closer to our city, he and Paul road ahead to block the first intersection in our town.
There were so many motorcycles riding!
The motorcycles revved their motors and honked as the kids waved.
Blake videoed a solid 6 minutes of a very steady line of motorcycles passing by.
Four proud kids!

Career Day

Blake - Missionary
Barrett - RV Salesman
Brynn - Teacher
(Her first choice was taking care of babies (Ayi) in a Chinese orphanage.  We didn't have things needed to dress up as that, so she went as a teacher)
I pray that whatever career they choose, they will use the talents and gifts God has given them, they will enjoy their career, and they will glorify God in it.

Serving and Cheering

One of the boys' favorite days is the BMO (Boys Mission Organization) Pancake Breakfast.  They cook and serve breakfast to raise money for our World Mission Offering.
 It was delicious!
After Brynn, Kaleb, and I ate breakfast, we began packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  The boys and Brynn's classes at church have been collecting items for the boxes, and today was packing day!
We strive to teach our kids about serving and selflessness.  I love seeing them serving with gladness!
We spent the afternoon at the stadium cheering on Cousin C and the Yellowjackets during the first playoff game.

This and That

Blake and Barrett are in Run Club after school.  It's a school sponsored club focused on health and fitness.  They hit the trails one day for their run.
Friday night lights watching our favorite #11!
 Election 2016
While the boys were at the deer lease, we spent the night with Gram.  The kids loved helping her make homemade biscuits!
