 There is nothing like relaxing and reading.

 Leaving with a bag full of new books to read is the best part!

 Showing up to work and seeing that you are dressed like your co-workers/friends makes for a fun day... and doing it twice in the same week is even more fun!

 Nothing better than snuggling in the rocking chair, especially when you're not feeling well 

 Watching Snow White from the comforts of their own homes... priceless!!

 And of course reading the Bible in your cardboard home is good too.

 And then waking up the next morning, Bible in hand, and picking up where you left off is important.

Simple Things

I sometimes feel as though I get busy with life and forget to enjoy the simple things.  It is something that I am constantly reminding myself to do.  I know these days are fleeting and I don't ever want to look back and realize I didn't enjoy the simpleness of them.

I went upstairs to hang laundry the other day and found this in the floor.  It was sitting just like this.  I stopped in my tracks and just took it in.  Just looking at it, I know Barrett had something to do with it.  Brynn probably helped.  It was a time I was thankful for cameras so that I could forever freeze it in time.  Forever remember how simple and fulfilling life can be.

 Someone painted this canvas for Brynn as a gift.  A simple canvas, with so much meaning.  It represents a country and a time in our daughter's life that makes her the amazing girl that she is.  It represents God's fulfilled promises when he says in Jer. 29:11 he has plans "to give you hope and a future".

I am always striving to enjoy and be thankful for the simple things!

A Cold Egg Hunt

We started Sunday off with a wonderful morning at church.  We love this time of year as we celebrate the death and most importantly, the resurrection of Jesus.  How majestic our Savior is!

What is normally a beautiful afternoon spent egg hunting with friends... was a cold and windy afternoon egg hunting with friends this year.

We wouldn't miss the annual egg hunt though,

so we put on our coats and grabbed our baskets,

and hunted as quickly as we could!

Despite the cold temps, the kids had a great time egg hunting!

School Art Show

We enjoyed an evening looking at the art work Blake has been working on at school.

Blake loves art class, so we couldn't wait for him to get to show off what he has been working on.

 His hard work paid off and his pieces looked fantastic!

This Little Girl

This little girl has had a surge in energy and strength lately.

She has gotten strong enough to ride this bike.  She rode it to the park the other day, then rode in the parking lot for quite a while, and then back home again.  This is huge for her!  She is so proud of herself and has a new found love for bike riding now!

With all of this new energy she is burning comes a nice appetite (as if it wasn't good before!)  She eats as much as I do now!

A good, full night of sleep has also accompanied the bike riding and appetite.

 Looking forward to a fun spring with 3 sets of wheels in the fam now!

St. Patty's Day

St. Patrick's Day was on Sunday this year, so we had a quick breakfast, complete with green milk before rushing off to church.

Spring Break

Our spring break was nice and relaxing... just the way we like it!

It started with a trip to the library to get stocked up on books for the week.

 We had some great cousin time!

 Played at home and used our imaginations a lot. 

And finally got to play outside when it warmed up at the end of the week.

Barrett's Birthday

Our big 5 year old woke up to the traditional birthday balloons in his room.

 After we all got home from school, he opened his present from us, we took him to dinner, and then for an evening of playing games!

 The five of us had the best time playing together!
