First Day of School

A new school year brings a fresh start. Excitement over seeing old friends again, as well as the possibilities of making new ones.  New teachers, new classes, and new routines.  After a fun and relaxing summer, we are ready for all the new things that a new school year brings!

Promotion Sunday

All of the kids promoted to their new Sunday School classes.  Since Kaleb is starting 1st grade, he promoted upstairs to the Pad.  They all enjoyed their new classes and look forward to a new year of growth!

Last Day of Summer Break

We spent our last day of summer break at Splash Kingdom.

We had a full car, ready for some fun!

 The kids had a lot of fun on the waterslides and in the wave pool!

 It was the perfect way to end our summer break!

Meet the Teacher

 The time has come to drop off our school supplies and find out who our teachers will be for the new school year.

The kids were excited and anxious to see which friends would be in their class and who their teachers would be.

After we checked the posted lists in the gym, we made our way down to the classrooms.

 We are all thankful for the teachers they got!  We love each of them and know they will nurture and teach our kids a ton this year!

This and That

We had a mama mockingbird build a nest in our tree.  We loved providing bird food for her and watching as her babies hatched, grew, and then moved on.  We were even lucky enough to watch her feed her babies one day.

Cousins

We always love when we get to spend time with our cousins!

Visiting

We always enjoy an afternoon visiting grandparents!  Blake and Barrett were spending time with Jim and Duby; while Kaleb, Brynn, and I visited with Gram and Papa.

 The lake was so much lower than the last time we went to visit, just a couple of weeks ago.  We had fun decorating rocks, playing, biking, and exploring!

Family Fun

We ventured out to a nearby town for a yummy lunch and some family fun!

 The Kountry Kitchen has the best home cooking!

 After lunch, we went to Buc-ee's for dessert and to explore.

 It was a fun day spent together!

Off To College

Our family met for a farewell dinner before our oldest cousin/nephew heads off to college.

He'll be playing football at Howard Payne University.

We are so proud of him and know that God has big plans for him!

Summer Days

 Nursery duty with one of my favorite babies,

 Sewing pillowcases for Cousin C to take to college,

 Our weekly trip to the library,

Brynn has been reading The Laura Chapter Book Collection.  It was adapted from the Little House books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.  She found the series this summer and is loving it!
