We arrived at Tres Rios for a our annual Halloween camping weekend late Friday night. It was chilly and dark. We set up camp and then built a fire!
The next morning, the boys woke up ready to go check things out. It was still in the 30's!
They came back cold and decided to wait for it to warm up a little more.
Thankfully the wind wasn't blowing too much, so it didn't feel quite as cold as the day before. The grown-ups sat by the fire at our campsite while the kids played. Once it warmed up a little more, we pulled ourselves away from the fire.
We went for our favorite walk down by the Brazos and around Squaw Creek. Since the Brazos was mostly empty, we got to get down in the riverbed to explore.
We were able to park our RV's buddy style this trip, which we really liked! Our front doors faced each other and we had our tables, chairs, and fire pit in the middle.
We played/relaxed the day away until Trick-or-Treating time.
Dressing up and trick-or-treating at camp has become something we really enjoy.
Blake stayed at camp to pass out candy while the daddies watched the fire and our dinner on the grill.
After dinner, candy, and s'mores we all sat around thewarm campfire.
It was the perfect ending to a very fun and full day!
