First Day of School

This is a year of big change for us!

Blake's first day of middle school (7th grade)!

He had morning football practice, so I took his picture at 6:30am before Robert dropped him off.

Barrett's first day of 4th grade,

 Brynn's first day of 3rd grade,

 Kaleb's first day of kindergarten.

 A new front porch, a new school (middle school), and the first time I wasn't at school with them as a teacher.

Hello, 2017-2018 school year!!

Baptism

Brynn accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior on June 16th, made a public profession of faith, and then followed Him in baptism.

We have prayed for her salvation since the day she joined our family.  The Lord has answered our prayers!

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. 3 John 1:4

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Last Day of Summer Break

The summer was a whirlwind for us!

We moved and went on a 2 week vacation.

I resigned from full-time teaching (and had to pack up my classroom in addition to packing my house).

Our oldest is starting middle school and our youngest is starting kindergarten.

A lot of change, all within a month's time.

 We spent our last day of summer break with some of our favorite friends!

(Kaleb was home with a double ear infection)

Hello 2017-2018 school year!

Meet the Teacher

This year's Meet the Teacher night felt a lot different for us.

After 15 years of teaching, we decided that it was in the best interest of our family for me to take some time off from full-time teaching.

So, this year I got to take the kids to Meet the Teacher for the first time.

After Meet the Teacher at the elementary school, Blake and I went over to the middle school to walk his schedule.  Needless to say, we were overwhelmed, so I didn't take any pictures.

It was a fun night for all... everyone left their school excited and anxious about the upcoming first day!

Splash Kingdom

We loved getting to spend the day at our local waterpark.  We woke up to rainy skies, but it cleared and we were ready to go.  Since it was an overcast day, there were no lines to wait in!

 Our annual Mosaic (adoption group) swim party.

Brynn has been wanting to get her ears pierced, so I surprised her and took her to get it done.  She was so happy!

FBC Kindergarten Luncheon

Our church hosts a luncheon for the incoming kindergarten kids.  The kids get to practice getting a lunch tray and the parents get to pray for their children.  I am so thankful for our church family!
