The Orchard

We enjoyed an afternoon at the orchard with our friends.
As you can see, we are quite a crew.  4 kids each... with a total of 6 boys and 2 girls.  I think that is why we all get along so well.  We don't mind the chaos that each of us contributes to the group.
 A delicious lunch.
Some wide open space to run and play.
 Followed by some homemade goodies.
Look at all of those boys!!
We had a wonderful afternoon, followed by a fun evening at our house!

May Happenings

These two twinning in some of Blake and Barrett's, and before that, Cousin C and Cade's clothes.
Another great year for Blake in BMO's (and Daddy who helps teach).
After serving for the past two years in Barrett's Mission Friends class, we had our last night together.  He will go to BMO's (Boys Mission Organization) in the fall since he will be in 1st grade.
I am so thankful for the gift of free childcare that our church offers to teachers in the children's department.  They offer it once a quarter... and we were so happy that it came the weekend before our anniversary.  We dropped the kids off for a couple of hours of playing at the church and headed to dinner.
Happy 15 year anniversary to us!  We celebrated with a night out at Denny's (kids eat free!) with our four little angels.
Our sweet little guy got Student of the Week at school.   So proud of him!

A Wagon Ride Gone Bad

What started as a fun wagon ride in the driveway, ended with a trip to urgent care.
Barrett was pulling Brynn down the driveway in the wagon, turned a corner and over went the wagon.  Brynn fell out and dislocated her elbow.  She was in so much pain, but was a trooper.
While they were doing the x-rays, her elbow slipped back into place.  It was immediate relief for our girl.
They called us in the next day after reviewing her x-rays again.  They were concerned about a fracture so we had to go in for a splint.  She got all splinted up and we followed up with an orthopedic surgeon.  He confirmed that is appeared to just be the damage from the dislocation, and not an actual fracture.  She has to wear the splint for a week, and then should be all fixed!
So thankful that it was nothing more!
3 kids, and now three splints/casts...

The Season is Over

Baseball season is officially over.  We had two double headers and a tired family when the day was over!
The following week we had a Hawaiian Falls end of season celebration for all of the spring sports.

Still Here

We are still alive and well!  Although last week I might not have said that!  It has been a long, hard month.  I am hoping that we are finding our new normal with an active toddler in the house and that all the sickness and sleepless nights are going to be kept at a minimal.  I will eventually get around to updating the blog now that I can actually complete a thought and feel as though I might actually survive our new normal:)
Blog updates coming soon... I hope!
I am claiming a verse that a dear friend shared with me:
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
