Bridal Shower

Today was Maddie's Bridal Shower.

Brynn and I were honored to help host this special event.

It turned out beautifully!!  Counting down to wedding day!

Real Feathers

The babies continue to grow and change. Their feathers are coming in more and we can take them outside on warm days.

The chicks look forward to their oat treats.

Chicks, Chicks, Chicks

Our babies continue to grow!  They require twice-daily feedings and water refills now.

They have started growing wing feathers.

They are so adorable and we love to watch them and hold them!

We feed them dry oats for a snack.

They eat, sleep, and poop all.day.long!

They got big enough to start taking on field trips out to the grass!  They stayed right beside us, not straying too far!

Sundays

Sundays are our favorite days!

Chicks

Our little babies fluffed up and started eating, drinking, and growing!

My daily farm chores include watering, feeding, and cleaning out the wood shavings.  It's a never-ending job!

 

Time to Hatch

On Day 18, I took the eggs out of the egg turner and increased the humidity. 

On Day 21, we had our first pip hole!

We waited and waited for the hole to increase in size.  It finally did!

Our first chick hatched overnight, but I was able to get pictures of the second chick that hatched.

It was a fun day in first grade!

Everyone made a trip up to the school to see our new babies!
