Our GMO group at church had their annual Mother/Daughter Event.

This year we decorated cakes!

It was a lot of hard work and a lot of fun!

Are my two front teeth!

Brynn and I got up super early, ready to spend the day in Austin on her 4th grade field trip.

4th grade is a year that Texas history is studied in school, so this was the perfect field trip to enrich what they've been learning.

We had a nice, smooth, traffic-free ride on the way there. We stopped at a delicious Czech Bakery in West, Texas along the way.

Our first stop was the Texas State Capitol.

Our next stop was the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.

From there we traveled to the Inner Space Caverns.

We ate dinner at the caverns before we loaded the buses to come back home.

We arrived back to the school around 8pm.

It was such a special day with my girl, filled with the rich history of our great state.

Youth group lock-in

The church printed some new pictures to hang in the hall. I love this one of Blake and his friends from camp last summer.

Brynn was the only one that designed a box for her Valentine cards this year. The boys made something at school to hold their cards.

Lots of sugar, friends, games, cards, and FUN!!

Today we celebrated Blake's 14th Birthday!

We started the celebration a day early with lunch and dessert at Culver's. Gram and Papa joined us for lunch.

We feasted on authentic Mexican food at La Victoria Carniceria on the evening of his birthday.

Ooey Gooey Cake cooked to perfection was the perfect way to end our celebration.

Happy Birthday to our witty, thoughtful, and respectful firstborn!

Today we celebrated Kaleb's 7th Birthday!

He awoke to the traditional birthday balloons in his room.

He got a special birthday treat from his teacher/class at school.

By his choice, we celebrated his birthday with dinner at Denny's.

Followed by his request for Confetti Bundt Cake.

His name on the Culver's sign wrapped up his birthday celebration.

Happy 7th Birthday to our funny, smart, and adventurous boy!
