Round 3

Rockwall made it to Round 3 of the playoffs.  The big game was in Georgetown, so we took a little road trip.
We glowed orange as we traveled down the road to the big game.  It was a tense game, which we ended up losing in the end.  There were a lot of tears shed by the players, and the stands were completely silent as the game came to an end.
It was a fun season for the Yellowjackets!

Forever Family Day

We celebrated Brynn's 4 year Forever Family Day.
It seems like just yesterday she was placed in our arms in China, yet I can't remember our family without her.  She is the most loving, caring little girl.
We are so blessed to get to be a part of her story!
Happy 4 Years Brynn AiXin!!

Black Friday

Shannon and I got a wild hair and decided to do a little Black Friday shopping.  We went just for the afternoon, with a few specific things in mind.  Kaleb couldn't hang with the girls and ended up crashing in his stroller.
The big boys were spending the night with grandparents, so Robert and I had the littles at home.  We went for a yummy dinner out together.
We took Brynn to pick out her Forever Family Day Charm.  She chose a panda bear.  It looks very cute added to her special charm bracelet.

Thanksgiving 2014

We have much to be thankful for.  God has blessed us with family, friends, and most importantly the gift of salvation.

Bills for Chills

Our school recently participated in a challenge hosted by Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club by donating dollar bills for the purchase of winter coats for local people in need.  The students raised over $2000.  The 4th grade classes who lead the school in donations won an ice cream party.

Sick Guy

Our little guy gets sick so easily.  We had a long week of croup.  This included sleepless nights, doctor's appointments, medicines, and a very grumpy toddler (and possibly grumpy parents).
I mean, this guy fell asleep at the table right in the middle of lunch.
He was on the mend and grabbed us up for a Kaleb sandwich hug.  He said, "I wub (love) you so much".  We are making progress with his bonding and trust!
He is loving our fireplace!  Nothing better than warming up by it when you are sick!
So thankful that he is well now!  It was a long week!

JFND

Our town's high school football team had an undefeated season and made it to the playoffs. Their first playoff game was at McLane Stadium, at Baylor University.  Shannon and I took a little road trip to watch them play.
It was a tense game, but the Yellowjackets won and moved on to the next round of playoffs.

Randomness

We went to visit our little friend Lucan after his second heart surgery.
Baby boy got his very own chest of drawers!  No more tubs and bags of clothes, he is here to stay!
We showered my sister with baby boy gifts as she prepares to welcome her first baby, Aiden Duke.
November is National Adoption Month.  Orphan Sunday was the first Sunday of the month.  Our church's adoption ministry hosted a movie matinee, where the documentary Stuck was shown.
This year the first National Adoption Day was also implemented.  Everyone was suppose to draw a smiley on their hand and post on social media.

The polar vortex hit our area early this year.  We got to light our first fire of the season!  Kaleb was so excited!  It was a first for him!

50th Day of School

We celebrated the 50th day of school, 50's style!
I pulled out my old poodle skirt and Gram made Brynn one for the special day!
Kindergarten had a special Sock Hop.
It was a rainy, chilly day and my handsome husband surprised me with a warm coffee drink.

The Week That Was Halloween via Phone Pics

We had slipper day during Red Ribbon (drug free) week.  We had other fun themes each day, but I didn't get a chance to snap pictures.
The annual staff trick-or-treating at school (after school hours).
 Our church's Trunk-or-Treat.
Halloween night... great friends, fun, and lots of candy!
After a week of learning about community helpers, the 1st grade students got to dress up like a community helper.
My hands are so full these days that I can barley keep up with the blog and taking pictures!  Our blog book is one of the kids' favorite books to read, so I am trying to do my best to keep it going for them!

Rowdy

Rowdy, the Dallas Cowboy's mascot came and held an anti-bullying rally at our school.

It was loud and crazy... the kids loved it!
